Choosing individual therapy is an act of courage — and we want the practical side of accessing mental health services, including understanding your insurance information, to feel as clear and straightforward as possible.
The extended, 90-minute intake session is the first step in beginning therapy. This comprehensive session allows us to understand your concerns, explore key patterns, and start outlining a tailored plan that meets your needs and goals. Following this, we offer ongoing 50-minute individual therapy sessions focused on your specific goals — this is not general therapy. Instead, we provide specialized expert support for issues such as coercive control, trauma bonds, high-conflict relationships, emotional abuse recovery, and post-separation stabilization. For your convenience, we also provide information about insurance coverage related to our mental health services.
These 90-minute individual therapy sessions are designed for individuals recovering from narcissistic abuse, toxic relationships, emotional manipulation, and other forms of psychological abuse. As both a clinician and survivor, I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to carry emotional pain while still trying to function in everyday life. Unlike traditional sessions that can feel rushed, extended sessions allow us to go deeper, uncover unhealthy patterns, set boundaries, and rebuild self-trust. Additionally, I can provide you with insurance information to help you access the mental health services you need.

When teens are given early access to individual therapy and coaching, they often embrace it in ways that shape their future for the better. Many of my adult clients are individuals I first worked with when they were teenagers. They learned early how to process emotions, build self-awareness, and prioritize their mental health. Therapy for teens is not just about helping them through difficult moments; it's about equipping them with lifelong tools for resilience. Additionally, understanding insurance information can help families access vital mental health services, ensuring that these young individuals receive the support they need.
Intensives are designed for recovery from narcissistic abuse in various dynamics, including romantic relationships, parenting, and work situations. We also provide individual therapy as part of our mental health services, and we can help you with insurance information to ensure you receive the support you need.
Sliding scale: A limited number of reduced-fee appointments for individual therapy are available. Sliding scale therapy rates begin at $150 and are reserved for up to four clients at any given time.
Do you accept insurance? We are a private pay practice and do not bill insurance companies directly, which protects your privacy and ensures your mental health services are never limited by what an insurance provider is willing to approve.
Do you accept FSA or HSA cards? Yes, we gladly accept FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account) cards as payment for sessions.
Can I still use my insurance benefits? If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. We can provide a superbill—an itemized receipt with all necessary clinical codes—that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. We recommend calling your insurer ahead of time to ask about your out-of-network benefits and reimbursement rate.
How do I find out if I have out-of-network benefits? Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask: "Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits? What is my reimbursement rate for outpatient therapy, and do I have a deductible to meet first?" Please note that insurance does not cover coaching.
